Topic: Unity, Gifts, Growth, Ministry, Psalms, Worldview, Philosophy, Culture Scripture: Psalm 133:1–3

Would you like to bring unity to your church? Is real unity possible? Are you weary of the division prevalent in our day? Are bothered by the disunity in the modern church? Do you long for relationships, homes, jobs, communities, and churches where there is unity? You are not alone. Of course, unity at any cost leads to slavery and bondage. But having said that, we can see that this longing is not specific to our generation. The Psalmist also longed for unity and loved to witness and revel in it when he experienced it. This is why biblical unity is quite literally a taste of heaven! Join Pastor Scott as he expounds Psalm 133 mining the depth of God's Word concerning unity in the church. Psalm 133:1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! The Christian doctrine of unity has fallen on hard times. First, we may want to acknowledge that radical individualism within the church has slain its tens of thousands. For many years this self-centered individualism chipped away at the corporate unity, which is spiritual and doctrinal in nature, of local churches and even denominations. False ideas about what constitutes spiritual unity are proliferating. Have trouble understanding the Bible? Do want someone to explain the Bible in everyday language in a way that you can understand? Our goal is to help God's people understand His Word.
