"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16,17
-
We believe in the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is simple; He is One (Dt. 6:1-9), and He is complex; Three. He is eternally One God in Three Persons, co-equal in essence, power, holiness, and glory. He is the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the Living God. God is holy, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, eternal, infinite and immutable. God is personal, good, righteous, jealous, kind, merciful, and gracious.
- Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We are a community of believers in Jesus Christ. We have been redeemed by His sacrificial death for us on the cross and are shaped by our worship of Him as our living and reigning King. (1 Timothy 6:15, Revelation 1:5, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
- We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It is inspired by the Holy Spirit and is inerrant in the original manuscripts. We believe that the Scriptures are sufficient for the church and every believer. This is why expository preaching is part of the regular services. (Isaiah 29:16, 64:8, Jeremiah 18:1-9, Romans 9:14-24, 2 Timothy 3:16-17). Though we hold the KJV in high regard, the ESV is the translation routinely used in worship and preaching.
- We believe in Biblical, traditional marriage -- one man, one woman for life. God created Adam and Eve and united them in the covenant of marriage, commanding them to procreate, filling the earth with worshippers of God. In humble obedience to Scripture, we regard LGBTQ+ ideology and practice to be contrary to God's holy Commandments.
- We believe that Scripture teaches that the roles of Elder (Pastor) and Deacon are to be carried out by humble, godly men (biological males) who fulfill the description given in Holy Scripture in the Pastoral Epistles. God has blessed and used many women to do great things throughout history. Women and men are of equal value and dignity before our Creator, but in His sovereignty, He has chosen humble, godly, doctrinally faithful men to lead His churches.
