The Shepherds Were God-Fearing, Part 3

Were these shepherds different in any way? Were they chosen simply because they were nearest to the city of Bethlehem? Or, did God bless them with this good news because on some level they were men of faith? Perhaps we will never know for sure but, I would like to ask you to consider with me this morning that these men were special and with that privilege came great responsibility. Furthermore, in many ways, we are like they were. 

As we consider that they were not like other shepherds let’s consider first, that the announcement was, indeed, to them.
