Has the Church in the Twenty-first Century lost the profound meaning and ramifications of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and subsequent resurrection on the third day? Have we outgrown Easter? Has the Christian Church moved past the belief in a literal resurrection from the dead? Does the claim that Jesus rose again from the dead after days of lying dead in a stone tomb embarrass Christians today? If so, is this an evidence of intellectual and spiritual progress? Has there ever been a time before when this was an issue in the Church? So we see from the Apostle Paul that the resurrection of Jesus our Lord is the proverbial linchpin of our Christian Faith. Since this is the case, clarity concerning the message we believe and teach is a matter of eternal life or death. So, what is this message that brings men and women to God? Paul tells the Corinthian Christians in no uncertain terms the contents of the Christian Faith.
