March 27, 2024 Speaker: Pastor Scott Slaughter Series: Thirsting For God, Learning To Worship God Biblically
Topic: Psalms, Prayer, God's Presence, Depression, Loneliness , Spirituality, Growth, Sanctification, Holiness Scripture: Isaiah 58:1–11, Ephesians 6:1–12, Psalm 63:1–2
Is fasting for today? If so, when was the last time you heard a sermon on it? When was the last time you remember your local body of believers was called to it by your pastor, elders, or deacons? Do you practice biblical fasting? I am not talking here about health fasting. Fasting for health reasons may be a good thing but it has no spiritual value. Isaiah 58:4-8 helps us learn what God considers fasting and why He expects His people to practice it.
