What does it mean to "seek God?" And how does seeking God relate to fasting and prayer? What role does fasting have in the regular worship practices of the Christian Church? This fascinating subject is part 12 of a study of the Bible's teaching regarding worship. The study entitled, "Thirsting For God, Learning to Worship God Biblically." There is much confusion surrounding what the Bible says about fasting and how it relates to the Christian life and worship. But before we can delve deeply into fasting (Part 2), we need to prepare our hearts and minds to do it through seeking the Lord. That is exactly what we will do in this first of two parts on Christian fasting.
