Jesus Walks On Water | What Did It Mean?

There is a much more to this narrative that Mark desires us to see. He does this by the inspired ability he possesses to write in narrative. We see that the miracle is actually not the primary focus. In fact, it is assumed and not mentioned. The focus is on Christ’s compassion and the disciples’ failure to have faith and to understand the greater message that was unfolding before them. Later we are told that “they did not understand the miracle of the loaves and fish. In our last study we learned how to handle rejection when the we share the gospel. Of there were some things that were specific to the Apostles but there are also truths about when and how to preach the Word. Today, we come to another training session for those who serve Christ. If we are not careful to maintain our personal walk with Christ the demand for ministry will exceed our personal supply. This is a hard lesson that usually needed many reviews in the live of a disciple. Jesus is teaching The Twelve valuable lessons in chapter 6 and in this section He is teaching them how maintain the rigors of serving over a long period of time.
