There is a much more to this narrative that Mark desires us to see. He does this by the inspired ability he possesses to write in narrative. We see that the miracle is actually not the primary focus. In fact, it is assumed and not mentioned. The focus is on Christ’s compassion and the disciples’ failure to have faith and to understand the greater message that was unfolding before them. Later we are told that “they did not understand the miracle of the loaves and fish. In our last study we learned how to handle rejection when the we share the gospel. Of there were some things that were specific to the Apostles but there are also truths about when and how to preach the Word. Today, we come to another training session for those who serve Christ.
