We could easily make the mistake of assuming that Jesus simply performed miracles to attract a crowd in order for them to see that He is the Messiah. In the account before us, we see a bit of His private compassion towards all He encountered. The miracles of Jesus are not just proof that Jesus is God; they show that He loved people and had great compassion for them.
