We’ve all seen them. Perhaps, as she cuts you off without a thought for your safety, you are able to read her bumper sticker, “God is my Co-pilot.” And you think, “Don’t blame God for that kind of driving!” Though not so common now, this was a very popular bumper sticker slogan for a while. I am sure that whoever thought of this bumper sticker had the best of intentions to avow their faith but what happened was far from expressing trust in God. Unintentionally, this slogan gave expression to much of the professing Christian population in America. God is not their King, their Lord, their Master, their God; He’s their assistant! Join Pastor Scott as he expounds James 4:13-17 unpacking the rich teaching of the Bible, phrase by phrase. You will see how James calls us to live under God's rule resisting the temptation to profess religion while living as a practical atheist.
