The Ten Commandments, Pt.2, First Commandment: Loving God - His Supremacy

 In this first Commandment, we are warned not to commit idolatry. "Idolatry" is not an often-used word in America but it may surprise you to know how often it is committed in America. Idolatry can be a very subtle sin and can take many different forms. And when it comes to learning to live for God, this first Commandment is the foundation of all the others. If we do not love God supremely then how can we expect to be faithful to the rest of His Commandments? Examine your own heart as we look at loving God first. Check your own heart to see if you have any other gods before HIM.
