Does God Care If We Mind Our Mother?

God has promised to bless those who bless their father and mother. That honor that we are called to give is expressed in many ways, and it extends to their old age. Not only should we follow the instruction of our mother because the 5th Commandment tells us to, but Proverbs shows us what enrichment of life we receive when we do it. Proverbs 1:8–10 Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, [9] for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.
