Understanding the Gifts of the Spirit

Series: 1 Corinthians, The Cross and Its Community Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:13– 14:5, James 1:21–27

It seems that when it comes to spiritual gifts, there are in the Church at large two kinds. There are those congregations that overemphasize them and make an open show of individualism. Then there are those churches that run the congreation simple elections as if there were no such thing as gifts of the Spirit.

Our goal should be to stay close to how the Scriptures tell us spiritual gifts should be used in the churches of Christ.
