Spiritual GIFTS & Church UNITY, pt.2

Today, we are looking more closely at the nature and purpose of the gifts of the Spirit. Why are they given, and how do we use them in the community of the cross? Paul’s introduction to this new concern expressed by the Corinthian believers is concerning spiritual gifts. In verses 1-3, we saw that he opened his teaching on the subject by reminding them of their past pagan practices before their conversion. We said that idolatry is not the main problem they are having with spiritual gifts, but it plays an important part.
