Is The Rapture in the Bible? First Study
Series: Important Terms for The Last Things Topic: Bible Prophecy & End-times Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:50–53, 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, John 14:1–2
The Rapture is that time when Jesus Christ returns in the clouds to receive those believers
who’ve died and those true Christians who are alive at the time to Himself in the clouds. The
Rapture is a resurrection. The dead in Christ will rise first, then those who are alive at the
time (the remaining Christians) will be transformed in the ‘twinkling of an eye’ while being
‘caught up in the air.’ At no time in this event is it said that Jesus came to the earth, only that
He receives the dead and living in Christ to Himself in the clouds.
