3 Ways the Gospel Changes Your Wedding Plans
Series: 1 Corinthians, The Cross and Its Community Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:1
How can we make good decisions about marriage? Should Christians marry or not marry? If a spouse has passed, should a Christian remarry? How can each Christian live a life of peace and joy? As a follower of Jesus Christ, the Great Commission defines our lives. Following Him gives us purity, purpose, and peace. The Apostle Paul is not rejecting marriage as a God-ordained institution. Celibacy and marriage are gifts to be enjoyed and celebrated. Paul is elevating the service of Jesus and His Great Commission to the forefront of all our relationships. Let's consider what Paul writes in 1 Corinthians chapter 7.
