God says that Christian marriage is good. Bad things happen when celibacy is promoted over Christian marriage and its conjugal bond. Marriage is good for us, and it is a vital part of our walk with Christ. Short of our relationship with God, our marital union is to be the deepest and most loving of all human relations. Next, perhaps, is parent and child, but even this love rests upon the foundation of marital love. To shun our spouse is to reject them and refuse to show love to them.
