The Seventh Commandment | Why Did Adultery Make God's List?

What family among us today has not been ravaged by this terrible sin of adultery in some way or other? If yours has been spared take time to thank the Lord for it. The home is under a fearful attack, more fearsome perhaps than ever before. We must sure up our homes against the enemy with the teaching of God’s Word.

It has been said about preaching on this commandment that “there is no subject perhaps more difficult to deal with faithfully, and yet there is none demanding more honest and fearless handling.” May the Lord help me as I attempt to do so. 

Before we begin let us take notice that this commandment is not merely against adultery but it is emphatically for marriage. If taken seriously this commandment can transform lives and marriages!
