How can we restore a fallen brother or sister in Christ? Join Pastor Scott as he expounds on the teaching of Galatians 6:1-10. Paul does not hold back in chapter 1 regarding how to deal with the Judaizers and their false teaching. He gives similar instructions as well about sinning Christians in other places. Ephesians 5:11–12 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them. [12] For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. (ESV) Titus 2:15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you. (ESV) Titus 3:9–11 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless. [10] As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, [11] knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. (ESV) Hebrews 12:11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. (ESV) Now, in chapter 6 he turns to the subject of restoration. Possibly some after reading and hearing Paul’s letter would repent. If so, Paul explains what is to be done with them. **I am indebted to Dr. John MacArthur for the use of his excellent outline for our study today.
