Worship With KNOWLEDGE | A Study of Psalm 100
January 6, 2021 Speaker: Pastor Scott Slaughter Series: ACTS, Continuing the Work of Jesus
Topic: Psalms, Citizenship, Kingdom Of God Scripture: Psalm 100:1–5
The Psalmist makes a point to encourage all land, nations, and people to worship God. Worship is evangelistic. Now we have a habit of distinguishing between evangelistic and edification services. One is for the lost and the other for the saved. I am not being critical of this. I’m sure that distinguishing the two has much wisdom behind it. But allow me to say that true worship is in and of itself evangelistic in nature. As the faithful lift their hearts and voices in adoration to the Almighty the lost who happen to be among them are hearing and experiencing in some degree the truths and blessings of God as well. God is the God of the believers but he is also the God of the whole world and all of mankind owes Him their worship.
