First, we should recognize that Stephen’s sermon was thoroughly biblical. Close attention shows that Stephen essentially used the Scriptural history of Israel and the facts regarding the murder of Jesus as the basis of his authoritative confrontation of these Jewish leaders. What were the contents of Stephen’s message? What was the point he was making with this crowd of men?
