John 21:1-14 Renewing Your Call to Jesus

Topic: Holy Spirit, Pentecost, Trinity Scripture: John 21:1–14

If we are not careful we will mistake other things for worship such as enthusiasm, emotionalism, excitement, ritualism, or entertainment. True worship is a matter being rightly related to God. Biblical worship begins with the spiritual and mental part of our being.

Why does the church in our day have little power or influence? Could it be because we are giving more time to understanding the artificial reality of our godless culture than we do to living in the powerful reality of the gospel?

We see in this text that the resurrection of our Lord marked a transition point for the disciples - a new reality, a new relationship, and a renewed call to service and so it should be forever disciple.
