The Song of Zechariah, Part 3

December 16, 2018 Speaker: Scott Slaughter Series: Carols From the First Christmas

Topic: Christmas, Incarnation, Jesus Scripture: Luke 2:68–2:79

As we consider Zechariah’s song of hope, we need to remember that Zechariah was not a man of tremendous faith. We know this because of the way he doubted the angel’s news of Elizabeth’s conception. When he didn’t believe the angel’s word he was stricken dumb. Later, when he agreed with God concerning the child’s name, his speech returned. We will see today that the words of the radio Bible Teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee are accurate. “He [Zechariah] is not only able to speak, but he will sing a solo.”
